The first of our vintage rattan lobster pot lamps has arrived. Sourcing three of these has been really fun and a great excuse to trawl through beautiful online interior design shops.
The reception area will have 3 of these over our beautiful welcome desk. The white circle will have our logo on. Through the door is the shared office space that Faye & Samantha will be working in. You can also see their shared desk custom-made from reclaimed scaffold boards along with the above desk shelf made from the same sustainable materials.

What a difference with the lighting up!
We are so close to finishing our beautiful Solar studio space. In this picture you can see the boxes full of new mats & bolsters ready for our Opening Weekend and in the corner our custom-made AV cabinet that will house all the equipment for our integrated sound system. This will be white oiled next week to give it a gorgeous finish and to protect it.
Lunar Studio update
6 August 2021
The walls have been plastered in our intimate Lunar Studio. This room will be a multipurpose space. It can be used as a yoga studio or divided in two by the moveable wall that we have commissioned. This will allow for the creation of two treatment rooms, both with a beautiful picture window with rural views, independent controlled underfloor heating and sound system.
At the top of the picture you can see the bespoke structural beam that has been built by our contractors, Stone Crest Homes to allow for the hanging of the moveable wall. We are hugely thankful to them for their advice and positive encouragement during the design phase of our build. We are so excited to see it coming to life now!

Here’s our team (Faye’s holding the camera!) choosing the flooring that will be continuous throughout the studios and reception area.
Here you can see a layout of the gorgeous tiles Kay has sourced for our reception area. These will form a mosaic at the entrance into the studio and cover the area where our crystals are buried in the foundations.
Checking samples on site
20 July 2021
We visited the site today and we were thrilled that the windows and doors are in!
The purpose of the visit was to check the samples obtained by our interior designer Kay on site with the light coming into the Solar Studio.
Solar studio update!
20 July 2021
The internal walls are going up in our beautiful Solar Studio. We were so impressed by the sense of space in this room.
It’s going up fast!
24 June 2021
The roof is now finished and our builders attention has switched to finishing the external walls.
The view from the inside shows our gorgeous new vaulted roof. We are so excited to hear the acoustics!
1st section of the roof is up
21 June 2021
We were thrilled that on the Summer Solstice we received this picture showing that the first section of the roof is now up.
If you look closely at the far end you can see the oversized French doors and windows that will open out from our main studio onto our patio area.
Setting our intentions
7 June 2021
Today we buried our crystals in the foundations of our studio space to harness the power of our joint intention. They were placed in our reception area so that everyone who enters will benefit from their energy. If you would like to see a short video of our ceremony and understand more about our hopes for our new space follow this link …
An aerial shot of the site
2 June 2021
We love this shot taken from our builder’s drone showing how our new studio and Fields Farm Shop & Cafe sits in the local surroundings.
The main structure is up!
1 June 2021
The main structural beams have been put in and the new studio is starting to take shape.
14 May 2021
We are bathing our crystals in salt water to cleanse them before we bury them in our foundations in early June.
The Foundations Have Been Laid
7 May 2021
We are very excited to share with you these first images showing that the work has begun in earnest on our new studio space in East Bergholt. In the last few weeks the trenches were dug and the foundations laid. Read more in our blog here.
The footings went in
3 May 2021
The footings went in and the studio began to take shape for the first time, it was a real ‘pinch me’ moment.
The news broke
27 March 2021
The news of the new studio was released in an EADT (East Anglian Daily Times) article.
The Great Reveal
17 March 2021
We revealed our plans to our beloved kula. The response was amazing!
12 March 2021
We signed the lease for Same Star Yoga’s new dual studio home.
25 February 2021
We had meetings with the project team to discuss the new studio, our vision and the space we wanted to create for our kula.
Seeing the site
15 February 2021
We visited the site for the first time, it was magical and we knew it was the right space for us.
We got the call
12 February 2021
Out of blue we received a phone call to ask if we were interested in expanding into a bigger space!*?*!*?
The universe was listening to us!
10 November 2020
We began to view new studio properties, but nothing quite fitted our needs.
- Two studios
- Welcoming reception area
- Therapy/multi-purpose rooms
- Free parking
- Full accessible space
- Cafe/restaurant nearby
- Room to grow in the future
It seemed a very long list for a new place to fulfil. We both spent a lot of time visualising our dream space and focussed on the manifesting energy of our yoga and meditation practices. We put our trust in the universe. If it was meant to happen, it would happen.
25 July 2020
Our studio re-opens after the first lockdown. Being socially distanced in our classes made us realise we need a much bigger space.
23 March 2020
We went into the 1st national lockdown.
Things were looking up
7 March 2020
We had our very first Yoga Teacher Training weekend with 12 beautiful souls. Faye’s rehab was going well and she could walk with crutches.
9 December 2019
Faye had a climbing accident, breaking her leg in multiple places. Our loving community (kula) rallied around her. Local yoga teachers gifted cover for her classes and many of our kula donated to a hardship fund to help Faye with her household finances and rehabilitation costs.
1 November 2019
Before lockdown hit we have a memory of being excited that our little studio was brimming to its max, we were writing down on a big wall calendar all of the events we were going to host in 2020. Little did we know what a chaotic year was ahead.
