I first qualified as a gym instructor nearly 30 years ago after falling in love with weight training and a healthy lifestyle. Qualifying enabled me to take a much deeper dive and pass on techniques to others.
After years of growing both a family and a business I decided to revisit my love of health and fitness by qualifying as a personal trainer, but with age came wisdom and I soon realised that people need a truly holistic approach to heal and grow so I added qualifications in NLP, CBT and Life Coaching.
The circle was only complete however when I discovered my own love for a spritual path and yoga practice some 10 years ago eventually leading to my first 200 hour teacher training in 2019. I now offer a full Mind, Body and Spirit experience through Holistic Mindspace where my clients can explore all aspects of themselves to live a happy and healthy life.

She seeks to welcome and encourage people, through example of self-belief.

I thought I was drawn to find Yoga through the avenue of looking for improved strength and flexibility. And that in some part is true, but what kept me coming back was the intrigue and in awe of how Yoga both challenged and comforted me. Yoga is physicality with beautiful thought provoking subtilise. Shining light onto options for navigating life that are thousands of years old and yet seem just so relevant and vital today, plus of course you get an awesome stretch.
When the opportunity to teach was placed in my path, I simply had to. A deep yearning to share what I am continuing to learn and experience has bought me to ‘Honour Yoga’.
I hope to offer everyone the opportunity to honour yourself with less critique, clear the path to deep rooted intuition, indulge in feeling content and perhaps through the study of yourself feeling more prepared to be present in the world and embrace all of its ebbs and flows. (I can recommend a Warrior Pose in the supermarket is always appropriate)
I’m not sure we honour ourselves enough in this modern world and I hope through ‘Honour Yoga’ you feel welcome, safe and deeply cherished.
Samantha Layzell is a registered 5000hr Yoga Elder for IYN. Her personal yoga practice had supported her for 25+ years through back injuries, family life and a corporate career, and massive change, so when she had the opportunity to go on an extended retreat in 2013 she signed up for a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (200YTT) in Southern Goa, India with a view to simply deepen her own practice.
She had no idea that this was going to change her life forever! Within a month of returning to the UK, Samantha found herself teaching a regular yoga class and much to her surprise never looked back. During the past nine years Samantha has fully stepped into her own personal development, surrendering to the spiritual aspects of yoga and finding a path to compassionate self-healing through yin yoga & Buddhism.
Samantha’s calming vibe and positive energy come through in every class where she compassionately encourages her students to indulge their physical, emotional and spiritual selves in a powerful exploration of everything yin. Her knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology, gained through her work as a sports massage therapist, supports her teaching and allows her to identify modifications for people wishing to practice yoga as part of their injury rehabilitation process.
Samantha strongly believes that yoga is for everyone. One of her big loves is sharing yoga with people who didn’t think yoga was for them.
“Yin yoga invites us to be emotionally adventurous, truly being with what is and gives us the time and space to practice finding comfort within discomfort. Bringing yin energy into our lives balances and supports our yang (active) yoga practice and challenges us to dig deeper, unwrapping the layers until our innermost self, our Buddha nature, is revealed. Come and join me on the mat where you can luxuriate in the compassionate loving kindness that is yin yoga. Step into a beautiful nurturing space where you can broaden and enrich your yoga practice and truly find your bliss.”

“Yoga enables me to see the divinity within all other beings, and sweetly detach from the things in life that are no longer serving in happy & healthy ways. All we should ever expect of ourselves is to make sure that we are always moving towards our truth. Truth will carry you through the toughest of times & life will always fall into place if it is with the pursuit of truth in mind.”
