Samantha Ross

Samantha’s personal yoga practice had supported her for 25+ years through back injuries, family life and a corporate career , and massive change, so when she had the opportunity to go on an extended retreat in 2013 she signed up for a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (200YTT) in Southern Goa, India with a view to simply deepen her own practice.

She had no idea that this was going to change her life forever! Within a month of returning to the UK, Samantha found herself teaching a regular yoga class and much to her surprise never looked back.

During the past six years Samantha has fully stepped into her own personal development, surrendering to the spiritual aspects of yoga and finding a path to compassionate self-healing through yin yoga & Buddhism. She has undertaken over 130 hours of advanced teacher training, studying yin yoga and insight meditation with Sarah Powers and runs popular classes blending yin yoga with slow, mindful vinyasa flows to provide energetic balance to yogis of all levels of experience.

Samantha’s calming vibe and positive energy come through in every class where she compassionately encourages her students to indulge their physical, emotional and spiritual selves in a powerful exploration of everything yin. Her knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology, gained through her work as a sports massage therapist, supports her teaching and allows her to identify modifications for people wishing to practice yoga as part of their injury rehabilitation process.

Samantha strongly believes that yoga is for everyone. One of her big loves is sharing yoga with people who didn't think yoga was for them.

Samantha says…

“Yin yoga invites us to be emotionally adventurous, truly being with what is and gives us the time and space to practice finding comfort within discomfort. Bringing yin energy into our lives balances and supports our yang (active) yoga practice and challenges us to dig deeper, unwrapping the layers until our innermost self, our Buddha nature, is revealed.

Come and join me on the mat where you can luxuriate in the compassionate loving kindness that is yin yoga. Step into a beautiful nurturing space where you can broaden and enrich your yoga practice and truly find your bliss.”
