An Inner Blossoming Workshop
An Inner Blossoming Workshop: A workshop to open gateways to the subtler realms.
As we slowly but tentatively begin to unfurl, there may be things that come up in the mind that question our confidence. There are so many things we haven’t been able to do, people we haven’t been able to see, but Self confidence is not buried somewhere, it is not a memory from the past, it never left you, it is right there with you.
To remain in the small self is to only bear witness to suffering and so we create space in our housings of the great Self via the tools of asana & pranayama & we stretch our perception via meditation until we come into contact with atma vimarsha, the confidence that arises from your true essence and from your trust in the Supreme Power within.
This is why we ‘yoga’ not to perfect the art of handstands or splits, not to be part of the latest trend but a divine discipline to consistently move past the maya (illusion) of the self via the senses & uncover the true glory within.
In this workshop we take practices that set up the body/mind to sit comfortably in meditation to cultivate Atma Samyama the yoga of Self Control.
From this place we begin to recognise that confidence never left us and that only our perception changed.
“naiva vācā na manasā prāptuṃ śakyo na cakśuṣā astīti bruvato’nyatra kathaṃ tadupalabhyate” – First, accept that the Self exists, and accept that it can be known. Then it’s real nature is open to experience
~ The Katha Upanishad 2.3.12

What our students say
Anonymous 9I love the space that you have created. It's brilliant to have access to the bolsters, blankets and blocks. The space always feels clean and inviting. Please keep the space minimalist. It's a nice haven away from the frantic outside world! All of the teachers create a really supportive environment where you feel confident to try new things or rest if your practise isn't quite at that level yet. I like to feel challenged physically and see progression week-to-week. I always enjoy the relaxation at the end of the class.
Anonymous 8I love that it is a safe, supportive environment with excellent teaching. The space is always set out beautifully and it feels very relaxing. I like the fact there are plenty of props available to use to help with poses. The classes are extremely well planned and it is clear that much thought goes into each session. I love that individual growth is encouraged and different abilities are supported.
Anonymous 7The space has a calm, lovely vibe and it's fantastic that it is dedicated to yoga. I really appreciate the invitations offered by Samantha to stretch my boundaries and my practice is developing.
Anonymous 6Lovely dedicated well equipped calm ... bliss. I had never experienced restorative yoga before: incredible!
Anonymous 5Its a very welcoming space, it's easily accessible and has a lovely feel. I feel held and safe to be myself in the space. I love the variety of classes and particularly value learning yoga as a 'whole'...the philosophy, pranayama, meditation, chanting etc, as well as the asana practice. I also value the commitment and kindness of the teachers. Just to say thank you for all being you. I love Same Star Yoga and will continue to support in any way I can.
