Diwali Journey to Flying Warrior
It is the Hindu New Year, a very exciting and colourful time of year. Celebrate with us in a workshop journey to flying warrior pose. Our Diwali Celebration Workshop will be held on Saturday 14th November.
In this workshop we honour the Hindu goddess of wealth and abundance Lakshmi, and invite her in by lighting up the studio with beautiful lights.
Together we will acknowledge and celebrate the difficulties and the challenges we have faced/are currently facing whilst we work towards the destination pose of Flying Warrior Pose (Vishvamistrasana).
What is Diwali?
Diwali is celebrated by Hindus in India and all around the world in October or November. It is the Hindu New Year, a very exciting and colourful holiday.
This festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness or good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair, much needed through our global struggles.
What our students say
GeorgiaLast Monday was my first yoga class and being online was different but your set up was really clear and easy to see the class.I haven’t been doing yoga for long and I only have experience in solo home practice, so it nice to get feedback on how I was doing with the poses and to enjoy being in a group.I have a goal to become a lot more flexible and to be more relaxed as I hold a lot of tension. I really enjoyed the class and will be rebooking.
Claire BaxterI always reap the benefits from Sam's classes both in a spiritual and a physical sense. I'm utilising the option of buying the classes that I would have usually attended or participated online live. This currently fits in with me as I have a full house and no real structure. Buying the classes allows me to fit yoga in where it's possible...and peaceful within my home! Allowing me to feel the full benefit of my yoga time and space without kids or partners stomping though my Savasna! Saying that I'm really looking forward to attending the studio again, as although I am benefiting from these choices in how and when I practice, I do miss the physical connection from Sam and my fellow yogees.
Claire BaxterI just wanted to say thank you for the Water element Hatha yoga. As always, it was a super lesson and very reflective of my needs at the moment.
Carole ManderThank you for being there throughout these difficult times. Having the opportunity to continue with yoga classes online has helped to keep me focused and calm.
Anonymous 9I love the space that you have created. It's brilliant to have access to the bolsters, blankets and blocks. The space always feels clean and inviting. Please keep the space minimalist. It's a nice haven away from the frantic outside world! All of the teachers create a really supportive environment where you feel confident to try new things or rest if your practise isn't quite at that level yet. I like to feel challenged physically and see progression week-to-week. I always enjoy the relaxation at the end of the class.
