Jivamukti Yoga Basics
This is a 4 week course that is ideal for existing practitioners, for refinement of asana and a perfect introduction to many of the foundational poses for complete beginners who would like a broken down, greater understanding of postures prior to joining a Jivamukti Open Class, Beginners Flow or Hatha Yoga Class.
Going back to basics is so enriching at any point of a practitioners yoga journey and I look forward to helping you explore asana through a different lens. Poses are broken down in workshop style for you to have fun with and although this is a four week course it can be revisited as many times as you wish.
What to expect
Each class will begin with an initial warm up and then we practice asanas (postures) in a workshop style, finding different ways to refine through the use of props with hand outs to take home of the English and Sanskrit names of all the poses.
The four weeks is as follows
- Standing Asanas
- Forward Bending
- Back Bending
- Turning it upside down and putting it all together.
What to bring to class
Essentials: Yoga mat.
Optional: Yoga bricks/blocks, strap, blanket, cushion.

These classes are suitable for all levels.
They are especially aimed at Complete Beginners & all level practitioners looking to refine some of the foundational asanas to enhance their overall practice.
