Cacao Ritual & Restorative
Cacao is now used for plant medicine rituals and ceremonies all over the world.
According to the Mayan tradition, the term for cacao is literally translated as heart blood and so to be part of a sacred cacao ceremony is to stimulate and awaken the energetic heart.
In this practice we take pranayama, meditation and restorative yoga postures to further enhance the practice of moving towards & unfurling the heart.
We are also blessed with Special Guest Lesley Beresky who has been studying meditation and wisdom teaching with Mother Ocean since 2009. Lesley received a beautiful set of alchemy crystal bowls in 2015, and has since dedicated herself to service and support of others through her work with sound. The bowls are made of crystal quartz infused with semi-precious stones including gold and platinum. The high vibrational alchemy crystal bowls emit pure resonance, which vibrates through the cells in the body unblocking and balancing creating deep relaxation to the system.

Restorative poses kick start the relaxation response to balance the nervous system, optimise energy flow to our vital organs, lift our immune function & enhance the process of digestion, respiration and circulation.
Restorative Yoga sets the whole body up for deep healing, growth and repair.
Beyond all the incredible physiological health benefits, Restorative classes create the opportunity to see where you hold habitual tension and enable you to retain a sense of calm through hectic times. On top of all these lovely benefits every 10 minutes spent doing Restorative is worth an hours sleep!

You asked for feedback on my experience at Same Star Yoga, so here goes: The location - Really convenient! I'm delighted the studio is so close to my home. Design and interior 'decor' - A beautiful, calm and relaxing space. Perfect for practising Yoga. Teachers - All the classes I've attended have been expertly led. The teachers are very attentive to students' needs & requirements. Prices - Very reasonable. I like the idea of the multi-class passes, which are very handy for those of us who want to try out different sessions.
