Yoga in the Park with Samantha
This class is suitable for complete beginners, injured warriors looking to return to the mat as well as yogis who prefer a slower paced practice.
We work with sun salutations, static poses and gentle movement, using modifications to ensure we are working compassionately with what’s happening for us today on the mat. Join Samantha for 75 minutes of hatha yoga in the beautiful Dedham Park. All levels welcome. Bring your own mat, cushion and blanket. Respect social distancing at all times.
If it rains, and government guidelines permit, we will take our class into our yoga studio on Manningtree Road.
Samantha says
Come and join me for an expansive hatha practice under the spring sky in the beautiful Dedham Park.
What to expect
Our Hatha yoga classes begin with a short meditation, an opportunity to step into the present moment and set an intention for your practice, before moving into sun salutations encouraging warming and opening throughout the body.
You will be gently guided through a series of postures, with stillness between each, encouraging curiosity to flower as we observe ourselves with compassion. At the end of practice we take a longer meditation relaxing into expanded awareness.

What our students say

I loved the class recording of Sam's class last week. It was easy to follow and the technical side of using it was easy too. I would recommend it to anyone missing your lovely classes.

I just wanted to say thank you for the Water element Hatha yoga. As always, it was a super lesson and very reflective of my needs at the moment.

I enjoyed the yoga practice very much, a friend had recommended Same Star and I have been following your wonderful advent calendar so wanted to come to a class. Unfortunately, timings, travel distance and cost mean that I won't be a regular attendee, but it was a joy to connect with you, Samantha's knowledge is inspiring.

The space has a calm, lovely vibe and it's fantastic that it is dedicated to yoga. I really appreciate the invitations offered by Samantha to stretch my boundaries and my practice is developing.

Its a very welcoming space, it's easily accessible and has a lovely feel. I feel held and safe to be myself in the space. I love the variety of classes and particularly value learning yoga as a 'whole'...the philosophy, pranayama, meditation, chanting etc, as well as the asana practice. I also value the commitment and kindness of the teachers. Just to say thank you for all being you. I love Same Star Yoga and will continue to support in any way I can.
